As a Product Owner, you will be the visionary leader of our Global Website, the main Digital channel for our customers and potential talents. You will work closely with stakeholders from different global departments and our Commercial Regions to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet their expectations and goals.
You will also be responsible for the agile management of the website development, defining user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritizing the backlog, and guiding the development team. You will collaborate with content, SEO, and UX/UI teams to ensure a consistent and engaging user experience across the website. You will also set and track web site KPIs, promote the website within the KARL STORZ organization, and manage the budget and resources for the website project.

Your Mission

  • Lead the vision, strategy, and evolution of our global website as the main Digital channel for our customers and potential talents
  • Be the main contact and partner for stakeholders from key departments and regions, understanding their requirements and expectations for the website
  • Act as the Product Owner in the agile project management of the website, defining user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritizing the backlog, and guiding the development team
  • Collaborate with content, SEO, and UX/UI teams to create a consistent and engaging user experience across the website, representing the needs of website users through customer personas
  • Set and track website KPIs, using data and analytics to drive improvements and optimize the website performance
  • Promote the website within the KARL STORZ organization, communicating the value and benefits of the website to internal stakeholders and users
  • Manage the budget and resources for the website project, coordinating external service providers and web agencies
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in website development, design, and user experience

Your Talents

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a comparable field, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing global web sites, preferably in the B2B sector, on the company or agency side
  • Solid experience with agile working methods, preferably as a Product Owner
  • Familiar with Design and Collaboration solutions such as Figma, Confluence, Storybook, and Digital Planning tools such as Jira
  • Good understanding of web technologies and Marketing & Sales Technologies solutions, and ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and developers
  • Latest knowledge of web analytics and SEO best practices
  • Relevant experience in coordinating external service providers and web agencies, and ability to negotiate contracts and manage budgets
  • Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for user-centric design
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills allowing to build trust and rapport with stakeholders from different backgrounds and cultures
  • Structured, goal-oriented, decisive, and ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Fluent in English and preferably German, both verbal and written
