I. Job Purpose and Core Tasks
This position is responsible for material handling and processing incoming goods utilizing fundamental SAP transactions. Responsibilities include receiving, verifying, and documenting all part numbers and posting outbounds. This position is fully cross-trained and regularly supports other Logistics/Distribution, Warehousing and Materials Management functions. Proficiency in all entry level tasks and a proven ability to learn intermediate SAP transactions and material processing is required. The Logistics Associate I - Receiving will have a record of proficiency in quality, safety, productivity, troubleshooting, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
General Responsibilities:

Receives, counts, sorts, logs, inspects, stores, prioritizes, and distributes incoming materials to various departments.

Verifies inventory products and quantities to receiving documentation. Identifies, documents, and resolves shipping errors.

Inspects all incoming inventory for correct product, serial~ and batch numbers.

Compares invoices, packing slips and receives for accuracy.

Performs GR activities accurately and timely within the same day of the delivery.

Dispositions third party and manufactured items to the stockroom.

Completes receiving labeling and documentation.

Segregates discrepant materials and completes required documentation.

Identifies returns, non-conformances and non-inventory shipments, USPS and ensures proper routing. Emails recipient and supplier quality with details and as needed.

Assists in the maintenance of an accurate inventory and pack out activities.

Performs daily warehouse housekeeping, stock checks, and inventory maintenance using the SAP system.

Maintains general cleanliness of the warehouse and all stock is placed in the appropriate areas.

Handles all orders per SOPs and special handling instruction.

Ensures all inbound POs (for all warehouses) are on-time and all receiving issues resolved to ensure material availability.

Facilitates cross-stock and expedited receiving activities when required to ensure customer orders can ship.

Daily monitoring of FedEx and Freight inbound expectations through open PO due date.

Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
II. Minimum Knowledge, Education and Skill Requirements
Required
Minimum years of relevant work experience:
-
>1 year of experience in inventory control, order fulfillment or general warehouse labor .
Minimum education, certifications and/or credentials:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum hard skill requirements (including computer and application proficiency):
-
Good computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft applications and MRP systems
Minimum soft skill requirements:
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong customer service orientation.

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.

Must be able to work cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment.

General knowledge of shipping and receiving functions
Preferred
Preferred years of relevant work experience:

2 -years experience in inventory control
Preferred education, certifications and/or credentials:

Some college curricula or relevant certifications
Preferred hard skill requirements:

Strong Microsoft Suite and SAP skills
