Job Summary

 

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Procurement Manager to lead and shape our procurement activities across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Finance Europe, you will be responsible for developing and delivering procurement strategies that ensure the sourcing of high-quality goods and services at the most competitive value. You will play a key role in supplier management, contract negotiation, and driving operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

Strategic leadership & governance

 

  • Develop and implement end-to-end procurement strategies, policies, and governance frameworks
  • Centralise and maintain all procurement records, including contracts, quotations, supplier agreements, and renewals, ensuring visibility, control, and compliance across the organisation
  • Ensure alignment of procurement activities with business objectives, legal requirements, and ethical standards
  • Optimise procurement workflows, including the use of e-procurement tools and automation

 

Category management & sourcing

 

  • Manage indirect procurement across goods, services, and operational supplies
  • Conduct market analysis and lead sourcing, tendering, and supplier selection activities
  • Evaluate pricing trends and forecast demand to support business needs

 

Supplier relationship management

 

  • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships
  • Lead contract negotiations to secure favourable commercial terms
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs
  • Manage disputes, complaints, and corrective actions
  • Ensure suppliers meet compliance and sustainability expectations

 

Operational & financial oversight

 

  • Oversee the full procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of purchase orders and approvals
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement efficiency and cost-effectiveness

 

Financial & Performance Management

 

  • Conduct spend analysis and procurement reporting
  • Track KPIs and deliver insights to senior stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value optimisation

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field (CIPS preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar procurement role
  • Experience within healthcare, medical devices, or regulated industries is advantageous
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 13485 / ISO 9001) preferred

Role information

 

  • £50,000-£60,000 + Bonus
  • Full time
  • Permanent
  • Monday- Friday
  • 35 hours per week
  • Office based in Slough
