Head of UK HR & Learning & Development
Slough | Hybrid working | Reporting to the Managing Director
Shape the future of our UK organisation
We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Head of UK HR & Learning & Development to join our UK Leadership Team at an important and exciting time for the business.
KARL STORZ is progressing through a period of global organisational change and transformation and this is a vital senior appointment for our UK organisation.
The successful candidate will take the lead in shaping and delivering our UK people agenda, supporting our leaders and employees through change and ensuring that our HR and Learning & Development function continues to evolve alongside the needs of the business.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Managing Director and working as a key member of the UK Leadership Team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the full HR and L&D agenda.
You will act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, providing insight, constructive challenge and commercially focused HR advice while ensuring we continue to provide an excellent experience for our people.
You will also play an important role in connecting the UK organisation with our wider European and Global HR community, helping to translate global priorities into effective solutions for the UK business.
What you'll be doing
You will:
- Lead, coach and develop the UK HR and L&D function.
- Shape and deliver the UK people strategy in line with business and global priorities.
- Partner with the Managing Director and Leadership Team on strategic and operational people matters.
- Provide visible HR leadership through organisational change and transformation.
- Lead complex employee relations matters and effectively manage employment and people-related risk.
- Drive talent, recruitment, succession, performance and workforce planning.
- Strengthen leadership and organisational capability through effective Learning & Development.
- Provide strategic oversight of reward, benefits, payroll, pensions, HR governance, data and compliance.

We are looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on HR leadership, confidently influence at senior level and provide calm, credible leadership through change.
Above all, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact, helping to shape the future of our people, our culture and our UK organisation.
If you are an experienced HR leader looking for a role where you can genuinely influence, lead change and make a difference, we would be delighted to hear from you.
