Your Mission

  • Coordinate installation, preventative, and reactive maintenance of KARL STORZ medical devices, including OR1 and telepresence equipment.

  • Collaborate with internal engineers, global technical teams, and external contractors to resolve customer issues efficiently.

  • Provide technical support and repair services both onsite and in-house, including diagnostics, maintenance, software updates, and remote assistance.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards (AS/NZS3551) and company quality policies (ISO9001).

  • Manage spare parts usage, documentation, and reconciliation accurately.

  • Prioritise and respond to customer technical inquiries promptly, and communicate clearly at each service stage.

  • Estimate service costs for quotations and prepare equipment properly for international repairs when needed.

  • Maintain accurate service records in repair databases and uphold data confidentiality and intellectual property protection.

Your Talents

  • Tertiary qualifications in electronics, electrical engineering or biomedical engineering is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of biomedical equipment, including the operation of and use of biomedical test equipment is preferred.
  • Strong electronic skills including understanding common circuits and component-level electronic troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to read and understand schematics & the ability to carry out fine electronic and mechanical repairs including complex soldering tasks.
  • Technical equipment fault-finding skills is highly regarded.
  • An understanding of hardware including modules, power supplies and control signal conventions.
  • An understanding of imaging acquisition, common video/audio signal types, hardware and software modules is preferred.
  • A solid understanding of operating systems, networking and programming objectives.
