About the Role

At KARL STORZ, the SAP Senior Business Systems Analyst serves as the subject matter expert for SAP S/4HANA MM, EWM, and QM modules across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and implementation teams to design, configure, and deliver SAP solutions that support Procurement, Quality, and Warehousing operations.

The SAP Senior Business Systems Analyst will manage the full lifecycle of Procurement, Quality, and Warehousing processes, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support. This role plays a key part in driving process efficiencies, business value, and continuous improvement across SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders and functional stakeholders to gather requirements, define deliverables, and align expectations across Procurement, Quality, and Warehousing functions.

  • Lead SAP MM, EWM, and QM projects through As-Is/To-Be analysis, Fit-to-Standard workshops, solution design, configuration, testing, training, documentation, and deployment.

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, and scalable SAP solutions.

  • Design, configure, and support SAP S/4HANA MM, EWM, and QM solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.

  • Coordinate cross-functional development activities, including RICEFW definition, development oversight, and solution validation.

  • Provide production support, root cause analysis, issue resolution, and enhancement implementation within established service levels.

  • Conduct unit, regression, negative, end-to-end, and performance testing to ensure solution quality and reliability.

  • Collaborate with SAP functional teams, ABAP/Fiori developers, Integration Suite teams, Security, Basis, Infrastructure, Reporting, and Middleware teams.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation, functional specifications, test scripts, training materials, and change request documentation.

  • Support innovation initiatives by evaluating emerging SAP technologies and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 10+ years of SAP experience supporting on-premises and cloud solutions.

  • Deep expertise in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA MM, EWM, and QM modules.

  • Hands-on SAP configuration experience within Procurement, Quality, and Warehousing processes.

  • Experience supporting SAP Fiori applications in both cloud and on-premises environments.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP master data including Material, Vendor, Customer, Serial Number, Equipment, and Batch.

  • Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI), IDoc/EDI processing, and common EDI transactions.

  • Understanding of integrations with SAP FI, CO, PM, SD, LE, Digital Manufacturing (DM), Project Systems (PS), and Warehouse Automation solutions.

  • Ability to read and troubleshoot ABAP code for solution validation and issue resolution.

  • SAP certification in MM, EWM, QM, or related SAP solutions preferred.

  • Experience in FDA-regulated environments is highly desirable.
