Sales Associate – Veterinary Endoscopy (Western U.S.)

About the Role

 

The Sales Associate (“Associate”) is a professional sales support role focused on learning, presenting, and supporting KARL STORZ Veterinary Endoscopy-America (KSVEA) products. A major emphasis of the position is hands-on training with daily-use endoscopy equipment, specifically GI scopes, rigid scopes, and associated video systems.

 

The Associate will gain in-depth product knowledge through comprehensive in‑person and online training programs, KSVEA-supported labs, and third‑party educational events. Working under the direction of the Director, Sales & Marketing – KSVEA, this role collaborates closely with customers, veterinary technicians, top veterinarians, and corporate accounts to support the continued growth of the veterinary endoscopy market.


 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Complete in-house and field training to develop deep technical knowledge of KSVEA’s core product lines.
  • Deliver high-quality training to veterinary technicians on the setup, daily use, troubleshooting, disassembly, cleaning, and sterilization of GI and rigid scopes and video systems.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Sales Associates, Account Managers, back-office teams, and Sales & Marketing leadership.
  • Attend required training courses, conferences, seminars, trade shows, and company events.
  • Maintain accurate territory records in KSVEA’s CRM system.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Monitor and communicate competitive activity to Sales & Marketing management.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and manage documentation for sales, transfers, and returns.
  • Complete all required administrative and reporting tasks accurately and on time.
  • Provide onsite support for new equipment installations and in‑field assistance for equipment performance issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Highly self‑motivated problem solver with strong analytical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including task prioritization and deadline management.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required; passport and occasional international travel may be necessary.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or business-related field.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in medical/OR environments or capital equipment.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel 40–60%, including some weekends.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician.
