About the Role
KARL STORZ is seeking an Onsite Endoscopic Specialist (OES) to join our team in a hands-on, customer-facing role supporting advanced endoscopic technologies, surgical instrumentation, and visualization systems directly within a hospital environment. Working closely with Operating Room (OR), Sterile Processing (SPD), and BioMed teams, you'll play a vital role in ensuring equipment readiness, supporting clinical workflows, and helping healthcare professionals deliver exceptional patient care.
This position offers daily exposure to cutting-edge medical technology while providing a strong foundation for career growth across sales, leadership, training, technical support, and other areas within KARL STORZ. Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
What You'll Do
- Provide on-site support and technical expertise to OR, SPD, and BioMed teams, helping ensure seamless surgical operations.
- Set up, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot KARL STORZ video towers, camera systems, light sources, and related technologies.
- Support surgical procedures by responding to equipment-related issues in real time and minimizing disruptions to clinical workflows.
- Coordinate repairs, exchanges, service requests, and inventory tracking to maintain equipment availability and readiness.
- Transport, clean, sterilize, package, and inspect surgical instruments in accordance with hospital policies and procedural requirements.
- Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals by delivering exceptional customer service and technical support.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in healthcare, sterile processing, surgical technology, medical device support, customer service, sales, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across clinical and operational teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting and transporting equipment up to 25 pounds.
Nice to Have
- Associate's degree or higher.
- CRCST certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience supporting surgical instruments, endoscopy equipment, or medical devices.
- Knowledge of operating room, sterile processing, or healthcare workflows.
