Upto 80% travel
Target Salary Range: $70-80k CAD
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The OR1, Deployment Specialist supports product performance by performing various support duties of audio-visual and network-based integrated systems within a medical operating room environment. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in OR systems with high complexity and serves as a higher-level support. The candidate is also involved with new integration and video imaging installations. They ensure market-leading performance of deployed AV and IP systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as a specialist in resolving complex technical issues and serves as a subject matter expert.

Perform installation tasks such as; Cable pulling, termination, and management, Rack assembly and AV equipment placement, Software configuration and system functional testing.

Conduct on-site equipment inventory and manage packaging and return processes post-installation

Performs equipment modifications on integration, and IT/network-based systems, including high complexity systems.

Proficient knowledge of KARL STORZ OR1 Core Product portfolio, system operations, SW/HW configuration, system troubleshooting, and service-related tasks.

Will be assigned to investigate customer-sensitive situations and be able to navigate through complex situations.

Provides suggestions for improvement to systems. Reviews installation work instructions and service documents. Recommend changes to documentation when applicable. Operates independently.

Attend and successfully complete all education programs to develop and exhibit a high degree of knowledge regarding KARL STORZ product lines, key selling features and competitive advantages.

Work with Account Executive and OR1 Sales Engineer in the promotion and sale of our OR Integration product portfolio.

Act as a spokesperson for KARL STORZ, ensuring that our core values are being always upheld.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for each installation phase.

Complete administrative tasks including timesheets, expense reports, and installation reports promptly.

Adhere to hospital protocols and KARL STORZ standards of professional conduct.

Proven customer relationship-building skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times whether dealing with customers at all levels of an organization or fellow co-workers.

Ability to travel up to 80% throughout Canada, USA, and Europe to customer sites that include, but are not limited to: hospitals, operating rooms, laboratories, and surgery centers. Must meet hospital credentialing requirements.

Ability to document service events and complete required service documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of a university undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering or Biomedical Technology.

Bilingualism (French) an asset.

Experience in AV/IP cabling, medical devices, or network-based systems

1–2 years of experience in Integrated OR or hospital settings

Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and wiring schematics.

Familiarity with control systems, video scalers, amplifiers, and digital video recorders

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Strong communication, troubleshooting, and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

3+ years of customer service or direct sales experience.
-
Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
-
Demonstrated ability to adhere to business processes.
