Your Mission

Leadership of Finance Function

• Take overall responsibility for the accounting function and financial operations of the local entities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and succession planning.

Financial Accounting, Reporting & Audit

• Oversee maintenance of the general ledger and sub-ledgers (AP, AR, inventory, fixed assets, etc.).
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (internal and external).
• Organise and manage statutory financial statement audits and ensure accuracy and compliance.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

• Lead preparation of annual budgets, mid-year forecasts, and year-end forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis, guidance, and insights to support decision-making across business units.
• Ensure corporate budgeting processes are aligned with global strategy, including monitoring and reporting.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to global accounting guidelines (German GAAP), treasury policies, and global reporting deadlines.
• Oversee tax compliance, including transfer pricing, Pillar 2, VAT, corporate taxes, and implementation of tax law changes.
• Anticipate, assess, and manage financial risks with both local and global implications.

Corporate Finance & Treasury Management

• Manage company cash management policies, capital structure, debt, equity, acquisitions, and disposals.
• Oversee banking transactions, payroll processing, commission calculations, and foreign exchange management.
• Ensure adequate insurance coverage and cost effectiveness, including risk minimisation measures.

Strategic Partnership & Business Growth

• Collaborate with headquarters and global functional leads to align local needs with corporate strategy.
• Partner with senior management to contribute to business growth strategies, commercial contracts, and bid evaluations.
• Participate in high-level negotiations involving premises, plant, acquisitions, and disposals.

Governance, Compliance & Legal Oversight

• Promote a culture of compliance by setting the tone at the top.
• Support the local Compliance Officer in implementing the Global Compliance Framework, policies, and training.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements while minimising legal risks.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Communication

• Foster seamless collaboration across business functions to ensure alignment with global processes.
• Maintain robust communication with headquarters in Germany, ensuring strategic cohesion across all functions.
• Provide transparent reporting to management, enabling effective decision-making and strategic improvements.

Your Talent

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s, CPA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Extensive finance experience, ideally as a senior finance executive, with proven industry knowledge.
• Strong understanding of the medical device industry and applicable quality system regulations and standards.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting systems and processes (AP, AR, GL, inventory, cost accounting, credit) and working knowledge of corporate income tax and sales/use tax laws.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, with strong audit and project implementation background.
• Significant managerial experience with strong supervisory, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English, polite and professional demeanor, ability to build relationships, and resilience under pressure.
• Demonstrates sound judgment, fairness, adaptability, and willingness to go the extra mile during demanding periods.
