This opportunity is a 12 - Month Contract.
Your Mission
- Assist with the development and delivery of people strategies, policies and processes relating to all areas of the employment lifecycle
- Acting as the ‘key point of contact’ for managers and employees on Employee Relations matters.
- Complete investigation of employee grievances and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Provide best practice HR advice, partnership, coaching and services to managers, team members and stakeholders
- Drive the successful execution of the Strategic Plan within the HR team
- Provide ongoing support on a diverse range of HR areas including, but not limited to; policy and procedures, talent acquisition, performance management including disciplinary action, employee relations, reward and recognition, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, learning, culture and change
- Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of systems and platforms including but not limited to SuccessFactors
- HR reporting with key data and metrics
- Implement and drive the Work, Health and Safety management systems, including compliance and risk management for the business
- Proactively manage Workers Compensation for the business, including end-to-end claims management along with return-to-work coordination
- Ownership of key activities – e.g., HRIS data integrity and management, onboarding/offboarding, reward and recognition programs, HR policy development, coordination of surveys, compliance reporting e.g., WGEA
- Participating and/or managing other projects or tasks, as required.
Your Talent
- 5+ years generalist background with strong knowledge in HR policies, practices and experienced in all areas of the employee lifecycle.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field
- Healthcare/Medical Technology industry experience advantageous
- Current knowledge of Australian employment law, legislation, regulations and practices, including WHS Act and Regulations and workers compensation
- Working knowledge of New Zealand employment practices, advantageous
- Change management and transformational experience and/or exposure preferred
- Ability to navigate HRIS systems (SuccessFactors advantageous), all Microsoft applications, including SharePoint
- Pragmatic and commercially savvy with a keen customer focus and sound judgement and ability to balance other business considerations
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence outcomes collaboratively
- Flexible and agile with demonstrated experience in dealing with ambiguity
- Strong communication and influencing skills for impactful outcomes
- Demonstrated strong organisation skills and ability to deal with different priorities whilst remaining composed at all times
- A proactive, professional and customer focussed approach with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and effectively contribute to the team environment.
