What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the design, analysis, and testing of sophisticated mechanical systems and components.
- Serve as the mechanical engineering lead on cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
- mentor junior engineers and oversee the work of Mechanical Designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Develop robust, high-performance designs using advanced tools such as FEA, CFD, and tolerance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards by reviewing and approving models, drawings, and prototypes.
- Lead R&D efforts in mechanical technologies, processes, and materials, driving innovation.
- Provide ongoing support for existing product lines while continuously improving departmental processes.
What You Bring
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) with 10+ years of experience, or a Master’s/Doctorate with 8+ years of experience.
- Expertise in SolidWorks, FEA, CFD, and tolerance analysis.
- A track record of successful opto-mechanical or electro-mechanical design projects.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and medical device quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with medical devices, especially endoscopic camera systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use hand tools for prototype assembly.
