Material Coordinator III

KARL STORZ is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Material Coordinator III to manage and oversee material inventory, procurement, and distribution in a fast-paced environment. The Material Coordinator III is responsible for performing material control functions across all seven functional areas: stockroom, customer-owned shipping, robot technical support, cycle count, customer returns, receiving, and general shipping. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials through various processes while maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee material handling and control within the stockroom, ensuring accurate inventory management and organization.
- Coordinate customer-owned shipping activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Provide technical support for robotic systems, maintaining material flow and automated processes.
- Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Process customer returns, ensuring proper documentation and resolution of issues.
- Manage receiving operations, including inspection, documentation, and inventory updates.
- Handle general shipping tasks, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and timely dispatch.
Minimum Knowledge, Education, and Skill Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in material control or related fields.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply information from written procedures and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Comprehensive knowledge of material control processes and able to perform all related tasks within the area.
- 3-5 years of experience with in-house applications, including Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP is required.
