About the Role

 

KARL STORZ is seeking a strategic, data-driven Senior Market Research Analyst to help shape commercial strategy through actionable market intelligence, competitive insights, and business analytics. In this highly visible role, you will partner across Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Global Solutions teams to translate complex data into meaningful insights that drive growth, innovation, and competitive differentiation.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with business acumen, curiosity, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to diverse stakeholders across the organization.

 

What You’ll Do

 

Market Research & Business Analytics

  • Conduct market research across multiple data sources to identify trends, opportunities, and risks impacting current and future business performance.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to measure business performance and strategic initiative progress.
  • Analyze key performance indicators and harmonize reporting processes to improve visibility and decision making.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for commercial and marketing stakeholders.
  • Develop recommendations that support growth opportunities, operational improvements, and business optimization.
  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven decisions align with organizational objectives.

 

Competitive Intelligence & Market Insights

  • Lead market intelligence initiatives, including market sizing, segmentation analyses, growth forecasting, and trend monitoring.
  • Analyze competitive activity, including products, pricing, positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Create competitive profiles, battlecards, win/loss analyses, and other tools to support sales and marketing effectiveness.
  • Monitor industry developments, customer needs, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop forecasting models and business cases that support evaluation of future solutions and strategic investments.
  • Deliver insights that strengthen market positioning and competitive advantage.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote organizational learning, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
  • Support enterprise-level analytics projects that improve alignment, measurement, and business outcomes across teams.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

 

What You Bring

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in market research, business analytics, competitive intelligence, or related analytical roles within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience utilizing market and customer insights to support business strategy and commercial decision making.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Experience building dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that drive action and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

 

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, business modeling, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics, including campaign performance, lead-to-pipeline conversion, event ROI, and digital engagement metrics.
  • Experience with customer segmentation and healthcare market analysis.
  • Familiarity with product and portfolio analytics, utilization trends, and commercial performance measurement.
  • Working knowledge of data and analytical tools such as SQL, Python, and/or R.

 

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, Finance, Statistics, Healthcare, or a related field.
  • Experience conducting research and market analysis within the ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) market.
  • Advanced expertise in healthcare market intelligence, forecasting, and competitive analysis.

 

Travel

  • Up to 20% travel throughout the United States.
  • Travel may include customer engagements, training programs, conferences, hospitals, surgery centers, laboratories, and other healthcare facilities.
  • Responsible for maintaining required hospital credentialing and adhering to all facility protocols and KARL STORZ standards.
