About the Role
KARL STORZ is seeking an entrepreneurial commercial leader to build and scale our dedicated ASC Solutions business. This high-impact role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, driving growth within one of healthcare's fastest-growing markets.
Reporting to the VP, U.S. Commercial, you will develop the ASC go-to-market strategy, establish key partnerships, build a high-performing team, and deliver business growth across the ambulatory surgery center landscape.
What You’ll Do
Lead Business Strategy & Growth
- Own the overall strategy, performance, and growth trajectory of the ASC Solutions business.
- Develop and execute commercial plans aligned with KARL STORZ's ASC growth objectives.
- Establish a compelling value proposition centered on ASC priorities, including operational efficiency, clinical outcomes, and financial return.
- Define key performance indicators, reporting frameworks, and business governance processes.
- Drive revenue growth, pipeline development, and long-term market expansion.
Build and Execute the Commercial Model
- Design and implement the ASC commercial model, including market segmentation, account targeting, territory planning, and channel strategy.
- Develop pricing, bundling, and go-to-market approaches aligned to ASC business needs and decision-making processes.
- Partner with field sales teams and strategic accounts to drive customer acquisition, pilot new sales strategies, and accelerate adoption across ASC networks.
Expand Strategic Partnerships
- Build relationships with ASC operators, management service organizations (MSOs), and private equity-backed healthcare platforms.
- Establish enterprise-level partnerships that drive scalable growth and repeatable market access.
- Collaborate with industry associations, market intelligence providers, and key stakeholders to strengthen KARL STORZ's market position.
Build and Lead a High-Performing Team
- Lead and develop the initial ASC Solutions team, including marketing and clinical professionals.
- Design the future-state organization and talent strategy as the business expands.
- Create an entrepreneurial culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence.
- Inspire teams and influence stakeholders across functions without direct authority.
Shape Competitive and Market Strategy
- Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, reimbursement changes, and healthcare consolidation activity.
- Develop actionable insights related to capital equipment, disposables, and emerging technologies.
- Translate market intelligence into strategic decisions that accelerate growth and strengthen competitive advantage.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience within medical devices, healthcare services, or a related industry.
- 7+ years leading people, programs, or large-scale commercial initiatives.
- Demonstrated success building, launching, or scaling commercial programs, business units, or growth platforms.
- Direct experience working with Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), ASC networks, or MSOs.
- Strong knowledge of capital medical device sales and complex healthcare selling environments.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
- Exceptional executive presence, strategic thinking, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with surgical technologies, endoscopy, visualization systems, or related healthcare technologies.
- Knowledge of gynecology, urology, ENT, or general surgery procedural environments.
- Established relationships with national ASC operators, MSOs, or private equity-backed healthcare organizations.
- Experience developing bundled, value-based, or solution-oriented commercial offerings.
- Track record of creating scalable go-to-market models and driving profitable growth.
