In this pivotal role, you will provide critical support to our Global Reprocessing, Sterilization, and Biocompatibility department, collaborating with internal stakeholders to plan, execute, and validate essential testing processes. This role requires an experienced professional who can operate with minimal supervision, leading projects, maintaining lab standards, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

As a Reprocessing and Sterilization Laboratory Scientist, you will have the opportunity to lead impactful projects, work with cutting-edge technology, and contribute to the safety and effectiveness of medical devices worldwide. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Conduct validation and maintenance of reprocessing and sterilization equipment. 

  • Author and review test protocols, ensuring adherence to good documentation practices (GDP). 

  • Lead investigations into deviations and non-conformities, providing expert solutions. 

  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures to enhance lab efficiency. 

  • Deliver comprehensive training to laboratory personnel on procedures, practices, and equipment use. 

 

What you need to be considered for the role: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, microbiology, biology, or related field, or relevant certification with 5+ years of direct lab experience in reprocessing reusable medical devices. 

  • 2-5 years of experience in a regulated GMP or GLP laboratory environment. 

  • Strong familiarity with reprocessing standards and sterilization/disinfection methods. 

  • Expertise in analytical lab test methods and data analysis, particularly in protein, hemoglobin, and carbohydrate detection. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel for data analysis.
