About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Evaluation Operator III to join our team on 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

 

As a Product Evaluation Operator III, you will perform advanced evaluations of KARL STORZ equipment, instruments, software, and related system components to determine appropriate product disposition, including return to inventory, repair, replacement, upgrade, downgrade, or scrap. This role serves as a technical expert within the department, supporting the most complex evaluations and exception-based scenarios while providing guidance to peers and contributing to process improvements across the organization.

 

As the final quality checkpoint prior to shipment, you will play a vital role in ensuring product safety, functionality, regulatory compliance, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction in a highly regulated medical device environment.

 

What You'll Do

  • Perform advanced hands-on evaluations of medical devices, instruments, equipment, software, and related system components.
  • Assess product functionality, configuration, cosmetic condition, software status, schematics, and history to determine the appropriate disposition.
  • Execute complex SAP, WMS, and related system transactions while maintaining data accuracy, traceability, and documentation integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced product, software, transaction, configuration, and documentation issues.
  • Review product completeness, accessory requirements, and supporting information to ensure accurate and compliant evaluation decisions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for evaluation processes, systems, and technical troubleshooting activities.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to team members, leadership, and cross-functional partners.
  • Support Global KSRAPS and FCO programs while consistently meeting quality and productivity expectations.
  • Lead and support onboarding, peer training, cross-training, and process reinforcement efforts.
  • Assist in creating, reviewing, and maintaining work instructions, visual aids, standard work documents, and process documentation.
  • Identify trends, recurring defects, transaction issues, and process gaps, and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in LEAN initiatives, 6S activities, audits, visual management programs, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Complete advanced cross-training across product lines, systems, and operational functions.
  • Work overtime as needed, including situations requiring minimal notice.

 

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of KARL STORZ experience or relevant experience in logistics, warehouse operations, manufacturing, returns processing, or a similar operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced proficiency with SAP, WMS, ERP, or similar operational systems.
  • Ability to perform complex transactions, research product history, resolve system issues, and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong technical aptitude and advanced product knowledge.
  • Ability to evaluate equipment condition, functionality, software status, and disposition requirements with a high level of accuracy and independence.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, work instructions, process documentation, and product disposition requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a technical resource, trainer, or subject matter expert.
  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, reliability, and sound judgment.
  • Experience working within a regulated medical device, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, service, or distribution environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in medical device, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, warehouse, service, or distribution operations.
  • Experience working within FDA, ISO, OSHA, DOT, or other regulated environments.
  • Additional technical, systems, process, or product-related certifications and training.
  • Experience supporting audits, technical documentation, process standardization, training delivery, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience serving as a recognized subject matter expert for products, systems, or operational processes.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, packing, lifting, pulling, and pushing throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift 30 to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Occasionally push or pull up to 320 pounds on casters with assistance.
  • Ability to use a warehouse ladder and operate a manual pallet jack.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Ability to maintain positive and productive working relationships with coworkers and business partners.
