About the Role
As a Product Evaluation Operator I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of KARL STORZ products before they are returned to inventory, repaired, replaced, or shipped to customers. This position is responsible for evaluating medical equipment, instruments, and software using established procedures and SAP-based workflows to determine the appropriate product disposition. As the final quality checkpoint prior to shipment, you will help maintain regulatory compliance, support customer satisfaction, and protect the integrity of products used in clinical and non-clinical environments.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (on-site)
What You'll Do
- Evaluate equipment, instruments, and software to determine appropriate disposition, including return to inventory, repair, replacement, downgrade, or scrap.
- Execute SAP transactions and maintain accurate documentation to support product evaluations and operational workflows.
- Perform hands-on testing, inspections, and assessments to verify product functionality and compliance with quality standards.
- Follow established KSRAPS-FCO processes to ensure consistent, compliant, and accurate product disposition decisions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including LEAN activities, 6S practices, audits, visual management, and process enhancements.
- Participate in cross-training opportunities and support additional operational functions as assigned.
- Work collaboratively across teams while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience using SAP, ERP, WMS, or similar inventory and transaction-based systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures, work instructions, and controlled processes.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and a proven history of dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Experience performing technical, inventory, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing-related tasks.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a medical device, healthcare, or other regulated environment.
- 2+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, warehouse, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience with process documentation, quality systems, or compliance-related activities.
- Additional technical, logistics, or operations-related certifications or training.
