KARL STORZ is seeking a Logistics Center Trainer II to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs within our Logistics Center. This role is ideal for a seasoned trainer who thrives on the floor, enjoys coaching others, and wants to make a measurable impact on safety, quality, productivity, and SAP process excellence.
As the subject matter lead for SAP logistics processes, LEAN/Continuous Improvement, and structured on‑the‑job training, you’ll play a critical role in developing capable, confident associates while supporting business priorities and operational performance.
What You’ll Do
Curriculum & Training Program Development
- Design, develop, and maintain standardized training curricula for logistics operations using classroom, hands‑on, and digital learning formats
- Ensure training materials, work instructions, and documentation are accurate, current, and compliant with regulatory and internal controls
- Partner with Logistics Center Leadership to prioritize training initiatives aligned with business needs and performance goals
On‑the‑Job Training & Effectiveness
- Deliver individual and group training, cross‑training, and all supporting training documentation
- Spend approximately 80% of time on the floor, coaching, mentoring, and reinforcing proper processes and behaviors
- Measure training effectiveness using VOC data, audits, KPIs, and leadership feedback
- Analyze trends to identify skill gaps, process adherence issues, and system knowledge opportunities
- Recommend and implement corrective actions and process improvements to enhance performance
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Serve as the primary trainer and curriculum owner for SAP logistics processes, including inventory transactions, goods movements, system controls, and data integrity
- Translate SAP and system enhancements into clear, role‑specific training for new implementations and upgrades
- Actively support LEAN and Continuous Improvement initiatives, including project work once primary training responsibilities are met
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher preferred
- 3+ years of training experience (manufacturing, logistics, or other relevant environments)
- Strong communication skills with high emotional intelligence and patience
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and highly structured
- Excellent time management and follow‑through
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and diverse personalities
- Positive, motivating attitude with a passion for developing others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency with multiple KARL STORZ SAP logistics transactions
- Effective communicator at all organizational levels
- Multilingual skills strongly valued
- Willingness to support shift or schedule flexibility as needed
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Frequent movement including standing, walking, bending, reaching, grabbing, pulling, and pushing
- Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs
- Occasional lifting up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Frequent use of warehouse ladders to reach shelving
- Ability to operate a pallet jack
