About the Role

KARL STORZ is seeking a Shipping Logistics Center Associate I to join our Logistics Center team. In this hands-on warehouse role, you will support daily shipping operations by processing customer orders, packaging products, and preparing shipments for delivery while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the products they need accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn while contributing to our continuous improvement culture.

 

This is a fully on-site position working Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

 

What You'll Do

  • Process customer orders and shipments using SAP and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Accurately package products according to KARL STORZ shipping and quality standards.
  • Prepare and process shipments through various carriers using computers and scanning devices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to 6S standards and safety procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities by sharing ideas, providing feedback, and supporting assigned improvement initiatives.
  • Support material handling activities and operate a manual pallet jack as needed.
  • Cross-train on additional shipping and logistics processes and assist with other departmental tasks as assigned.

 

What You Bring

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 0-1 year of warehouse, shipping & receiving, logistics, or dock experience.
  • Ability to operate a manual pallet jack.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use standard office equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow established procedures and directions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or dock experience.
  • Experience using SAP or other warehouse management systems.
  • Experience using barcode scanners or transportation management systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively to identify process improvements.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, grabbing, and packing throughout the workday.
  • Frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift between 30-75 pounds with assistance.
  • Occasionally push or pull up to 320 pounds on casters with assistance.
  • Occasionally use a warehouse ladder to access shelving.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work situations in a warehouse environment.
