Your tasks:
  • Disciplinary and functional leadership of one of the following Product Lines
    • Urology Intruments (Location: Tuttingen)
    • Lap Instruments (Location: Tuttingen)
    • Neuro / Spine / Arthro Instruments (Location: Tuttingen)
    • Implants (Location: Tuttingen)
    • ENT / Broncho / Airway Instruments (Location: Tuttingen)
    • Forceps & Scissors (Location: Tuttingen)
    • Hygiene (Location Tuttlingen)
    • Rigid Endoscopes, Exoscopes (Location: Tuttlingen)
    • SSU Endoscopes (Location: Tuttlingen)
    • Imaging Devices, CMAC (Location: Goleta)
    • Light Cables & Sources (Location: Schaffhausen, Tuttlingen)
    • Camera Heads (Location: Goleta)
    • Energy & Power (Location: Schaffhausen, Tuttlingen)
    • Fluid & Gas (Location: Schaffhausen, Tuttlingen)
  • Works with Global Sales & Marketing to implement and maintain the Project Roadmap based on the Product Roadmap for the Product Line
  • Ensures that the interfaces and system aspects between the KARL STORZ Product Lines is properly considered
  • Actively contributes to the Agile Transition Team (ATT)
  • Strengthen the collaboration of the area with other Centers of Excellence (CoEs), within the Portfolio and other (Senior) Manager/Abteilungsleitung Product Lines
  • Value Stream Mapping for continuous improvement (part of CIP)
  • Budget responsibility for the cost accounts reporting to this position
  • Process Ownership for GPDP Project Manager tasks utilizing synergies across all R&D sites
  • Track and monitor the performance of development projects in terms of quality, cost and schedule including budget responsibility for the area
 
Your profile:
  • Successful completion of a degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
  • 5 years Project management experience desired
  • 3 years of operating in an International Product Development environment desired
  • At least 3 year of project experience (with functional responsibility for project members) desired
  • Experience in system design and integration
  • Knowledge of medical device quality system regulations and standards
  • Working knowledge of: components / design and simulation tools, electronics, digital circuits and microprocessors, SW development and DevOps, engineering level mathematics, mechanical design tools
  • Experience in development processes (V-model, agile, lean)
  • ERP software experience required, including information and reporting systems
  • An analytical, goal- and result-oriented approach
  • Very high willingness to take responsibility, personal responsibility as well as commitment and ability to work under pressure
  • Communication skills as well as assertiveness, teamwork and conflict management skills
  • Solution orientation with a focus on the success of the company #TeamKARLSTORZ
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
