The PiBS program offers you an optimal combination of studies and professional practice. To get started, you only need a high school matura and a signed internship contract. Your academic journey begins at the ZHAW School of Engineering in Winterthur, where you will gain in-depth theoretical knowledge. At the same time, you have the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience at STORZ Endoskop Produktions GmbH in Schaffhausen. This dual approach ensures that your studies and practical experience are perfectly coordinated. Depending on your chosen course of study, you will complete the one-year internship either after the first or second year of study on a full-time basis. Alternatively, you can work part-time for a period of four years in parallel with your studies. In total, you will spend 40 percent of your study time actively in the company, which gives you an invaluable advantage in the professional world.

The dual degree programme combines theoretical knowledge from a degree programme with practical experience from a company. Theory and practice are combined in a set rhythm. In addition to the acquisition of a recognised Bachelor's degree, you will also gain extensive practical experience.
The students and the company conclude a contract before the start of their studies. To be admitted, you also need the Abitur or the University of Applied Sciences entrance qualification as well as the university entrance qualification.
