What You’ll Be Doing 

 

  • Lead the design, analysis, and testing of sophisticated mechanical systems and components. 
  • Serve as the mechanical engineering lead on cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery of projects. 
  • mentor junior engineers and oversee the work of Mechanical Designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. 
  • Develop robust, high-performance designs using advanced tools such as FEA, CFD, and tolerance analysis. 
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards by reviewing and approving models, drawings, and prototypes. 
  • Lead R&D efforts in mechanical technologies, processes, and materials, driving innovation. 
  • Provide ongoing support for existing product lines while continuously improving departmental processes. 

 

 

What You Bring 

 

  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related field) with 10+ years of experience, or a Master’s/Doctorate with 8+ years of experience. 
  • Expertise in SolidWorks, FEA, CFD, and tolerance analysis. 
  • A track record of successful opto-mechanical or electro-mechanical design projects. 
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and medical device quality standards. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

 

  • Experience working with medical devices, especially endoscopic camera systems. 

 

 

Physical Requirements 

 

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use hand tools for prototype assembly.
