To strengthen our team in the Global Innovation Management area at our Berlin, Schaffhausen, Tuttlingen or Goleta location, we are looking for a
   

• Disciplinary and functional management of the Systems Engineering department
• Strategic development of the department, coaching and development of the assigned direct reports 
• Initiate and implement process optimizations to further develop the department, processes, and systems 
• Owns the Systems Engineering processes and performance across all KARL STORZ sites globally
• Ensures Systems Engineering processes and responsibilities are harmonized globally allowing for local adaptations to ensure maximum customer value delivery efficiency.
• Ensures adequate Systems Engineering resources are available to meet global KARL STORZ portfolio delivery demands. Communicate early and objectively when demand exceeds resource supply
• Maximize feature reuse across the global KARL STORZ portfolio through the efficient and lean structuring of top-level stakeholder needs/requirements and next level system and device requirements
• Strengthen and grow all Systems Engineering technical, tools and process synergies globally across all KARL STORZ systems and devices
• Works closely and effectively with global KARL STORZ stakeholders to ensure the correct business and technical balance is met for User Needs/Requirements input to ensure most efficient and timely project execution

 

• Successful completion of a degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline such as Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
• 5 years working in the systems engineering development and architecture environment desired
• 5 years management experience desired
• 7 years of operating in an International Product Development environment desired
• Experience in Systems Engineernig  processes and tools (e.g. requirements engineering, DOORS, PTC, trade-off studies, interface design, system performance budgeting, etc.)
• Knowledge of internal company development processes 
• Strong leadership personality with proven management experience 
• An analytical, goal- and result-oriented approach as well as strong communication skills 
• Very high willingness to take responsibility, personal responsibility as well as commitment and ability to work under pressure 
• Extensive project experience and holistic process thinking 
• Communication skills as well as assertiveness, teamwork and conflict management skills 
• Solution orientation with a focus on the success of the company 
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
